Its my Birthday today and even though I'm 57, which I can't beleive I am, I'm still like a big kid when it comes round.
My Birthday started yesterday really. My friend Jacki at work bought me a hat (one of those cap things with a peak that seem to be all the fashion at the moment) and a pretty bracelet. Then today my colleague Kim bought me smellies and a charm to hang on my mobile (Its a cat of course !!)
Most of my cards have cats on which is nice. My ex (Yes, my ex) has bought me Duffy's C.D. and the new double D.V.D. of Take That in Concert which he knew I wanted and he's taking me for a meal tomorrow as its his birthday on Sunday and my Ex's Sister is delivering a presie at some stage. It's funny most people think its really strange that I still see my ex now and again. Sorry !! I'm doing a Billy Connelly going off on a tangent. I would be interested to know if anybody else out there thinks its weird too. We were together 17 years and parted amicably. I might add I am seeing someone at the moment and my ex knows I am. I would just find it hard to just never see him again after being such a big part of my life. I suppose some day we will but for now its nice to keep in touch. Anyway, back to my Birthday. I don't know why it is that when people get over a certain age they almost keep their birthdate a secret. Not Me !! It's great. I love getting presies and cards.I keep my cards up for a few days after. I think Birthdays should last longer than a day.
Just because I'm 57 I still enjoy the day and hope I will for a lot more Birthdays yet. If yours is Today have a great one whatever your age. :wave: xx
